She bought 2 boxes of Midnight Blue. Used both boxes on her. The hair lost Most Color. Now her color looks dull. NO color and bland. Very disappointed 
HORRIBLY DISSATISFIED
I was purple for my best friend's wedding, and 4 days later I'm still purple. I have spent 50 dollars on products alone to get this color stain off of me.

Verified ReviewerWrong colour was sent to me. Twice.
I ordered two boxes in total of Deep Emerald. Both times, there was blue dye in the green dye box.
They replaced those two boxes with the same mistake they made the first time. I guess I will be using a different product from now on.

Verified ReviewerI have been a loyal SPLAT HAIR DYE user for many years .
I ordered my go-to color , Blue Envy , like i have many times .
This time it was delivered and i noticed right off that the photo on the box had changed .
Instead of an american man and woman , it was a mexican man and woman .
Also the color they were portraying was not the Blue Envy i have used for many years .
I had not heard that it had been changed , so reluctantly , i used it .
My hair came out looking like i had gotten into my moms blue food coloring , and then stuck a light bulb in it !!
It was florescent light , bright blue , whereas my original love for Blue Envy came from the deep , darker , celestial blue that it had always been .
I was so pissed ! I had to re-dye it with the midnight blue just to tone down the god-awful color that it now was .
Ill find another dye , but it wont be anything close to the Blue Envy i always loved .

I have used Splat Blue Envy for years . It has a deep , celestial blue tone and looks very classy .
I recently re-ordered , and this is the new box , with a mexican woman and a mexican man , her looking like shes being held against her will and him looking like he will do harm to her if she does something wrong .
And the COLOR !!!
It is ridiculous !! It looks like a 12 year old got goofy with the blue food coloring and then stuck a light bulb in their hair !!
So now i am stuck with this horrible , electric blue awful color , when i was expecting what i had always ordered .
I am so pissed !

What in the world was this hair color?
The gloves provided weren't enough and also weren't strong enough to keep the color from going through the fingers!
It looked like a bloody mess and it left stains when washing hair!

I died my hair with this product, I died it midnight ruby on New Year's Eve. I have thick hair, and it comes a little below my chest, I had my friend dye it for me.
We left it in my hair for over an hour and none of my hair fell out. For the rinse time I was in the shower for like 30 minutes which was a little bit ridiculous, but I can manage, so I stayed in there and rinsed my hair until the water ran clear. After this i blow-dried my hair and the results were so good. I am very happy with the way my hair turned out.
People are complaining about it dying your skin but what I did to prevent this from happening was, I put Vaseline on my hairline, on my forehead, my ears, and my neck, and it didn't stain. I also wash my hair with cold water because that's what you're supposed to do to keep the dye from fading faster. I waited 4 days before I regularly washed my hair after dying it. It doesn't bleed when I wash it, it doesn't stain, nothing.
After I had died my hair though, I started to do research about this product and came to the conclusion that this hair color will stick to my hair permanently, and I was unaware of that. Good thing it looks good on me and I love the red lol. But I still think its unfair and dumb for them to false advertise, and it should not be allowed.
Overall, if you follow the instructions, you will get good results. Hair types are different so this product working for me, doesn't mean it will work for you.

Nasty chemical burn
I have been bleaching my hair since I was a teen and never have I ever had a reaction quite the way I have had with this brand. I have red raised welts on the left of my hair line, my eyebrow where a piece of my hair touched when this crap was in it and my left lymph nodes by my ear and neck are swollen. I wasnt going to make a big deal but its so uncomfortable that I cant even sleep right and it doesnt seem to get better with time, just worse.
Preferred solution: Money for doctor visits

It didn't dye his hair, but it sure dyes the skin
This doesn't seem to act as a hair dye. It acts more like a fabric dye.
I was dying my sons hair-ends red. I followed directions. I used gloves. When it was time to rinse it out, it dyed my hands.
It didn't dye his hair. That was money wasted.
User's recommendation: Just go with Loreal HiColor if you haven't bleached your hair. It's top quality for virgin hair.

This is the best conditioning shining toner I have ever used in my life! My hair is it ultra light gray color but I wanted it to be more of a natural brown and I wanted the ends of my hair to have a rose gold tent and thats exactly what happened.
It wasnt very obvious it was very subtle, but the conditioning in the shine is what sold me.
It looks beautiful. I highly recommend this product.

We used this product on my daughter according to the instructions, like any other bottle hair dye, squirted directly into the hair. Once I finished applying it to her hair I went over the few small areas of skin that had dye spots.
Rubbing alcohol wasnt removing it. Then mail polish remover didnt work either. We started to wash it all out far short of 45 minutes, and it wouldnt come out. Her scalp is stained now.
This stuff is more like fabric dye than hair dye. I have never experienced anything like this.
Im considering bringing this to a lawyer for a class action suit. This product is utter garbage and my daughters scalp is splotchy purple and her hair is like straw now.

Verified BuyerMy order shipped wrong. I have emailed many but have only received confirmation of receipt of the email. Now I’m trying to call with no success!! I ordered 5-10 wash out of pink pride but received
5- 1 wash out!! They are of no use to me and Im about to run out of what I have of my 10 wash out!!!

On 03-14-2023 I got ur product at Walmart the color red when home and did my hair left it in my hair for 20 minutes bc something was not right my neck was really burning so I rinse my hair wash my neck and hair to find out your product had burnt my neck I will send pictures please get back to me if not I will be get a lawyer.

I am so pissed about this hair dye because it's been 3 days since I used it and my hair is still turning everything blue! When I sweat I have blue *** running down my face!
It's so nice going out in public looking like a SMURF! I won't be recommending this crap to ANYONE...

In order to help stop the bleeding you need to do a really good rinse with cool water until the water runs clear, shampoo very well and rinse again with cool water until the water runs clear, apply conditioner allowing the conditioner to sit for about 10 minutes then do your final rinse with cooler water until water runs clear. Cool water closes the cuticle allowing it to lock the color in and preventing color from bleeding everywhere. Try to stay away from hot water as that allows the bleeding to continue.

It completely changed the texture of my hair. It's like synthetic doll hair, that just uncontrollably matts up.
Looks like my best bet is to shave it bald and let it grow back. I am not a very wealthy women so I can't really afford help with it. It doesn't seem to have left me with any help possibilities anyway.
I am really sad about the whole thing. Because I have always had a thick full head of hair, real easy to manage without experiencing even a 'bad hair day'.
